Don Marvin

In 1995, Donald Marvin founded Cairn Associates Inc., a firm providing financial advisory and management consulting services to emerging growth biotechnology and life sciences companies. From November 1997 until February 2003, Mr. Marvin served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of Orchid BioSciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: ORCH). In June 2001, Mr. Marvin was named ‘CFO of the Year’ by the New Jersey Technology Council. From 1986 to 1994, Mr. Marvin was President and Chief Executive Officer of Diatron Corporation, a biomedical company developing fluorescence-based instrument systems for the clinical diagnostics industry. His prior experience includes strategic planning, business development, technical administration and operations at PepsiCo, Inc., Abbott Laboratories, Inc., and Bayer AG, and domestic and international marketing and sales for the clinical diagnostics subsidiary of Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation. Mr. Marvin received his B.S. in Microbiology from Ohio State University and his M.B.A. from Iona College. Mr. Marvin has served on several Boards of Directors of both private and public companies and currently serves on the Board of Tepnel Life Sciences PLC (LSE/AIM: TED), a biotechnology company based in Manchester, England.
